LMATS is an independent engineering testing laboratory in Victoria to have NATA ACCREDITATION in chemical analysis of metals & alloys using spark spectrometer (Optical Emission Spectroscopy -O.E.S.). LMATS is accredited for Ferrous alloys, Stainless steel including Nitrogen, Copper alloys such as brass and bronze and Aluminium alloys.
LMATS is also NATA Accredited to perform PMI - Positive Material Identification on various Grades of material using XRF Spectroscopy.
Regular testing is done for industries in Melbourne, Victoria, Sydney (NSW), Adelaide (SA), Brisbane, Queensland, Perth (WA), Tasmania and Northern Territory.

LMATS comprises a team of Metallurgist, Engineers, Scientists, Engineering Technologists, Inspectors and Non-destructive testing Technicians. This unique combination of professionals from different speciality and the wide range of testing services offered by LMATS ensures that clients are benefitted by adequate engineering and technical advice and most cost effective test regime that will comply to various standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
LMATS can complete most of the tests within 2 working days from the date of receipt of samples and the test results are advised to clients immediately after completion of the test. During normal circumstances, test reports are delivered electronically within the next 1 working day from the completion of the tests. Upon request and agreement LMATS can complete the required test on the day of receipt of samples at no additional cost.
