Absence of Embrittlement can be confirmed in various galvanised or coated items such as bolts, pole, tower steps, braces, rods, reinforcing bars by performing bend test or suspended tensile test and compare the test results with non galvanised parts.

ASTM A143 and AS 4680 are the common standard test methods.
